try from different angles. maybe try photographing somthing that isn't an action figure. It'll make for a more interesting image. Remember the elements of photography: Lines, Rule of Thirds, contrast, texture, framing, reflection, and odd angle.

I'm thinking about just messing around with some photography. I have enough figures that I might be able to take some interesting shots.
